Renting the Blue Huracán STO was my first time ever getting behind the wheel of a real supercar

Renting the Blue Huracán STO was my first time ever getting behind the wheel of a real supercar, and I definitely went big for the first one.

I picked it up in Scottsdale and I’ll be honest, I was a little nervous at first. The STO looks intense in person. It’s low, wide, loud, and very obviously not a normal car. Once I got settled into the seat and started driving, that feeling faded pretty quickly. The car feels tight and precise, not unpredictable. The steering is sharp, the brakes are strong, and everything responds immediately.

Instead of just staying around the city, I took it up through the Mogollon Rim. That’s where it really made sense. The road has real curves and elevation changes, and you can actually feel what the chassis is doing. The rear wheel drive keeps it engaging, and the naturally aspirated V10 is the highlight. No delay, no waiting for boost. You press the throttle and it just reacts. The sound at higher RPM is unreal, especially with the windows down.

For a first supercar rental, it set the bar high. It wasn’t just about speed. It was about how connected the car feels and how much more involved driving becomes. Definitely not something I’ll forget anytime soon.
